Wild & Scenic Film Festival Hosted by the Kentucky Waterways Alliance

  • Clifton Center 2117 Payne Street Louisville USA (map)

Join us for an inspiring night of film and activism! The Wild & Scenic Film Festival, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, is making its second in Kentucky, on Friday, March 4th, 2016 at the Clifton Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The festival features several stunning, inspiring films, and showcases regional businesses who support outdoor recreation in Kentucky, as well as groups who work on outdoor recreation and environmental issues. We plan to screen our film " A(s)cend in the Red " a  visual love note to rock climbing in Kentucky's Red River Gorge.

The Wild and Scenic Film Festival informs, inspires and ignites solutions, and creates positive probabilities to restore the earth and human communities. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival was started by the watershed advocacy group, the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) in 2003. The festival’s namesake is in celebration of SYRCL’s landmark victory to receive “Wild & Scenic” status for 39 miles of the South Yuba River in 1999.
